SCRUBB Composite Decking Algae Remover & Inhibitor is designed for exterior surfaces around domestic and commercial buildings, including composite decking and composite cladding. It removes algae, mould, lichen and green films while helping protect surfaces from corrosion and damage.
No scrubbing is required. The advanced formulation works by breaking down algae and biological growth on its own. After application, simply allow the product time to work. Any remaining debris can be removed later with light brushing or a pressure washer if desired.
The product should be left to work for at least 36 hours. During this time the algae will be eradicated, and some lichen or algae may take a few additional days to fully disappear or discolour before weathering away.
No. The product is ready to use and should not be diluted. Apply it directly to the surface using a brush, watering can, or low-pressure sprayer for the best results.
Apply approximately 200ml per square metre of surface area to ensure full coverage and effective treatment of algae growth.
The product is effective against black mould, but in some cases residual staining may remain even after the biological growth has been eliminated. Additional cleaning may be required if cosmetic staining remains.
Avoid contact with ornamental plants, grass and other vegetation. If accidental contact occurs, rinse the affected plants thoroughly with clean water. Run-off should also be prevented from entering ponds or water features.
Yes. While the product has been tested on typical composite materials, surfaces and finishes can vary. Always test in an inconspicuous area first before applying it across the entire surface.
Once treated surface is fully dry, it is safe for children and pets.
