SCRUBB Water Seal is a protectant for porous exterior surfaces including brickwork, concrete, rendering, pebbledash and natural stone. It penetrates into the substrate, forming an invisible, breathable barrier against rain and moisture. SCRUBB Water Seal prolongs the life of exterior surfaces by reducing freeze-thaw damage, and also protects against unsightly efflorescence.

IDEAL USE CASES:

Exterior walls: Apply to brickwork, concrete, or natural stone walls to protect against rain penetration and prolong their life, particularly in harsh weather.
Pebbledash and rendered surfaces: Prevent moisture ingress that could lead to cracking or spalling.
Efflorescence-prone areas: Ideal for areas where white salt deposits are a concern, as it helps prevent water from penetrating the surface and reduces efflorescence occurrence.

BEST PRACTICE:

When storing the product, protect from frost and don’t apply in temperatures below 10°C.
Do not use on walls with rising damp issues. This product will not address the underlying issue and could trap moisture inside. Use a specialised damp-proofing solution instead.
Not recommended for use on retaining walls due to high moisture levels. A liquid membrane or tanking slurry designed for retaining walls would be more suitable.

Instructions

APPLICATION:
Ensure surfaces are thoroughly cleaned. Water Seal can be applied to dry or damp surfaces (not wet). Avoid applying during wet weather or when rain is forecast within 12 hours.

METHOD:
Using a pressure sprayer, brush, or roller, saturate the surface, working from the bottom up on vertical surfaces. If using a sprayer, follow up with a roller or brush for even coverage.

SECOND COAT: Apply a second coat within 1 hour of the first, once it has absorbed into the surface but before it has fully cured. Clean tools immediately after use with warm water.
