SCRUBB Algae Remover – 101 How-To Series

Youtube video

Scrubb Algae Remover is a powerful formulation perfect for removing algae, mould, lichen, and green films from exterior surfaces. It works well on masonry, composite, timber, tiles, plastic, glass, and even bitumen roofing. When you use it, remove excessive soiling first and then apply the product to a dry surface and apply it when there’s no rain forecasted for the next 24 hours. With the concentrate product, you can water this down one to five and then apply with a low pressure sprayer or a brush. It will take 36 hours to work and will actually continue to work for the weeks and months following. With the ready to use product, just simply apply with a sprayer or a brush. Also note this won’t work on black spot or moss. We have other dedicated products for these. And avoid using this on ornamental plants and lawns. If you do get it on these surfaces, rinse it thoroughly with water.

How to Remove Algae from Any Outdoor Surface | SCRUBB Algae Remover – RTU & Concentrate

In this video, we cover both SCRUBB Algae Remover products—the ready-to-use formula and the 5L concentrate—so you can choose the right option for your job. Both are designed to remove algae, green films, lichen, and moulds from a huge range of exterior surfaces, with no scrubbing needed.

HOW TO USE (Ready to Use):

  • Apply directly from the bottle using a sprayer or watering can — no dilution needed
  • Leave for at least 36 hours to penetrate and break down algae
  • Rinse or leave to weather away naturally

HOW TO USE (Concentrate 5L):

  • Dilute 1 part product with 4 parts clean water
  • Apply using a bucket and brush, low-pressure sprayer, or watering can
  • Allow at least 36 hours contact time before rinsing
  • One 5L application covers up to 200 square metres when diluted

SURFACES IT’S SUITABLE FOR:

  • Patios, decking, fencing, sheds, driveways, walkways, roof tiles, slates, bitumen roofing, plastic, glass greenhouses, polycarbonate shelters, garden furniture, and all types of masonry.

TIPS & TRICKS:

  • Apply when no rain is forecast for the next 24–48 hours
  • For heavy or stubborn algae, apply undiluted for a stronger treatment
  • Pre-saturate nearby plants with water and cover where possible
  • For ongoing prevention, reapply every 3 months in heavily affected areas
  • Results typically visible within 24–48 hours; some lichen may take a few additional days to fully disappear
